Happy New Year: Here’s to Another Chapter
It’s funny how, no matter where in the world we are, there is this one universal day that somehow signifies the ending of a year, the closing of a chapter, & then just like that a New beginning is somehow born. Its like with the flicker of some fireworks, we can miraculously begin anew, most of us knowing clearly that every day holds the potential for a fresh start. And yet, we are nearly all pulled at the same time, to dig a bit deeper and ask ourselves how we can make this year better than the last, how we can commit to improving ourselves in such a way that we will finally be…well, happy.
And NOW, we’re 10 days into the New Year… do you have any idea how many people have given up on their resolutions ALREADY? Tell me that’s not you too! Say it isn’t so! Lemme guess, haven’t yet started, or fully thrown yourself in?!!
HERE’S A LITTLE GLIMPSE INTO ME & MY WORLD…
Give this a go to get yourself on track and see how it fits! It’s been a challenge for me but one that has been SO. DAMN. WORTH. IT. ALREADY.
This year I’m diving in deep with a commitment to #365daysofjournaling a practice I love but find very challenging to maintain. It’s also a practice that I know remarkably impacts every area of my life. I’ve put a simple structure in place in this day to a page diary to track my progress and make it an easy to implement habit. I have another journal for free writing and the inevitable creative flow that comes when we make the time and space to pen to paper.
Will you join me and #journal2019!?
“Women are powerful, and I see them stifle this every. single. day. Stop looking to be saved and hiding your magic. Stop tossing aside your voice and valid emotions. Stop wasting your time with fake friends and chasing men like they’re cures.
Material things, better jobs, and other people- they won’t fill your gap. Only you can do that. Life is short. Rise up and step back into your awesome, innate power. You are compassion and creative force and divine life itself. You are a Goddess.” ― Victoria Erickson
Let me re-phrase….YOU ARE POWERFUL! Man or woman, let this be the year that you stop hiding! Step into your power and rise up in love, in compassion and in your own unique greatness! It doesn’t have to be daily journaling but it can help you get clarity on what you actually want! AND Dammit, 2019 is not going to wait for You!
Don’t wait until it feels right.
Don’t wait until Monday.
What ever you’re feeling called to do, START NOW.
Take a risk.
I swear the only risks we will ever regret are the ones we don’t take!
Tell us below, what one risk are you going to take this week!?
If your 2019 goals include feeling amazing, escaping the mundane, discovering your BEST self and/or travelling the world…

Here’s what some of the 2018 guests had to say….
Jess, thank you for seeing the potential in me and wanting to be there to witness my personal growth. During my time here in Sri Lanka you have taught me the drive and fire that is within me and the potential it has to keep growing! You have shown me how important it is to be in tune with my body and how to intuitively make adjustments both on and off the yoga mat…That was one Wild Adventure, let me tell ya! And THANK YOU again, for introducing me to this beautiful, beautiful country! Sri Lanka and Journey with Jess Jones Yoga will forever be in my heart!” ~Chris A
This is an experience I’ve been wanting to do for some time, only I didn’t know who with or where I’d go. Like an angel, Journey with Jess Jones Yoga dropped into my life and I took a last minute chance. Unaware of what to expect, I came to find myself on a incredible spiritual pathway. A pathway I would have otherwise missed had it not been for the gentle and loving guidance of Jess Jones. I started this journey feeling like the unpredictable ebb and flow of water washing up ashore of an unknown land. I am ending this journey grounded to this Sri Lankan earth and forever indebted to Jess for bringing me in contact in such a way with this place that will forever hold weight in my heart ” ~Alexis
